Question Ford Racing Single Plane Intake ???

Hello, I am trying to find out if the Ford Racing single plane intake ( part M 9424 H429 ) will bolt up to my Edelbrock 61649 Cobra Jet heads ? And if the ports on the Ford racing intake are the same size as the ports on the 61649 heads, no port matching needed. Just bolt up and go, ( As Victor intake 2965 has small ports and need to be opened up to match the 61649 heads ) Thanks Jamie.

I would contact Edelbrock directly; they have good tech support.

Hello Bern, I am in Australia.... a bit expensive to call Edelbrock ! As I found the Ford Racing intake on the web, it states for Ford Cobra Jet and Production heads ??? As I do not want to order it and when it arrives find out it has the small ports and not the large Cobra Jet ports to match the 61649 heads. Thanks Jamie.

most of the large single plane intakes come with smaller ports so that you can match them to your heads. This is because about 99 percent of people running these intakes port their heads and intake.

I have emailed them regarding their AL 460 heads in the past and always got a quick response. Cheap solution for ya.

Hey, OT, how much is gas down there? We are $3.70/Gallon in Maryland, USA.

Hello, Fuel prices down here in Australia are currently around $1-45c a litre, But I have seen some petrol stations selling fuel for $1-52c for standard unleaded. The Premium unleaded sells from around $1-57c up ..... its roughly about 10 to 12 cents a litre dearer than the standard unleaded. I think I will stick with the Victor intake and just open it up, Thanks Jamie. ( I have emailed Edelbrock in the past but never had a reply.... I have the Victor 460ci water pump, Cobra jet 61649 heads , victor Intake... hopefully there tech help is a bit better over there ? )

hi jamie, i have replyed to your site previously, but for other reasons have not been back
on site for a while, sorry for not running a dyno program on your motor , with cam specs,
valve size, carby cfm, exhaust primary diameter, collector diameter, intake design, etc.
i will try and run the program for you
ps most manifolds require some port matching
