2004 Aviator rough idle

2004 Aviator rough idle
I spend most of my time in the Diesel section but now I need a little help withthe wife's Aviator. It has developed a rough idle. It might be coincedence but it happened the same day (immediately following) she had the state inspection/emission test done. All the filters and fluids are new.
No SES light. Could this be related to the emmisions check? IAC going bad? What do you think?
It's a 2004 Aviator with 55K miles. V8.
