Iddle problem!

So today I finelly got arount to change the plugs and my TPS. However my truck's idle still as hight about 1200 rpm when warmed up. Fairly Heavy built up in the intake mainfold. clened up the Throtle body really good including the the idle control motor. Now what else should I be looking for at $3.66 to the gallon buying a import for just a to and from car isn't sounding like a bad idea.
What is the best way to replace the Fuel Pressure regulator. will I have to take the fuel rail out?

Pull the PCV hose on the plugs side...........and put a bolt in it ........The idle should drop and smooth rite out. All to often the cheap versions of PCV valves can cause a "hidden internal" vacuum leak, thus raising your idle.

I blocked intake port to the PCV off with a double male fitting and a cap, from the plumbing section at home depot. Use some hi-temp teflon tape on the threads.

And just leave the PCV valve disconnected from the hose in the valve cover.
It will still purge it self of the crankcase vapors.

I put a hose from the PCV down to the bottom of the frame, and held it with zip-ties. Just so the smog will exit out and under the truck.

If FLA does emissions tests and they look under the hood, be sure to plug that cr_p back in for the inspection. If they don't, you're home free

No the older florida retired community wont allow emissions test to be given here in florida. The states that do have tests, have problems themselves . A person can pay to have a test run at 2 different places and there readings wont match. Then theres the boot leg stickers. Florida just dose not want to spend there nest eggs on this.Besides we live on a peninsula

Even in states that have emissions test, I hear it dose not apply to vehicles over 10 years of age

Look for an intake gasket leak or vacuum leak, pull the line off the brake booster and plug it while the engine is running, if that makes any difference you brake booster is leaking. Also inspect the vacuum resovoirs(juice cans), these were metal on the older trucks and often rust out.
