Mine is away this week visiting family in FL.

I detailed her car, did a lot of yard work and will get her a new cell phone too.

I hope she appeciates it when I picked her up at the airport in a "like new" 9-year old car and she gets a look at the "like new" looking yard.

I don't like either one of my parents very much...They brought me into this world without even asking my opinion on the matter first...I'm still kinda pissed that they were so selfish and only thinking of themselves...They didn't care about what I wanted...

Same thing I've done for the past 6 years...visit her grave...spruce it up...fertilize...some grass seed if necessary...plant some new flowers...leave some baloons...

I hope everyone has a great time with their mothers. For some like me who lost their mothers it will be a Remembrance of all the good times.
So all in all I hope it will be a very special day for everyone.

It'll be another card and flowers. Cleaned the carpets and couch here at the house. That's the wifes. Will take the kids to get her something.

My mother and I have a somewhat strained relationship, owing to a lot of things on both sides. My parents live less than a mile from me, but I have'nt been there since Easter. That said, I still love my mom as a person and for the sacrifices she gave bringing me and my brother and sister up, so I got her a card, wrote her a letter, and am going to take it to her this afternoon.

Ahhh. Great to be the oldest. I can delegate to my younger siblings.

I had my brother take care of all the planning. Anyway, as the plan was Friday, we were gonna take my mom out for brunch. Well, my mom wasn't pleased, so the plan was changed yesterday to take her out for dinner. As of about an hour ago, the plan was changed again to a barbecue at my brother's house. And, I don't even have to buy beer.

Yep. Gotta love having a brother and sister to take care of the details. I just gotta show up with flowers and a cake.
