what does that have to do with your truck being a lemon? u should have titled your thread "i got a lemon", but seeing as how u didnt even describe your "lemon" we have nothing to go on... besides so far there are no noted changes from the job 3 2008's to the 2009's

Currently the last day of production for the '08 model year is scheduled for 07/31/08. '09 production is scheduled to begin on 08/04/08.

As gopedoligist mentioned, there are no "major" changes between '08 and '09...

My apologies, the truck has thrown a check engine light 4 times, something to do with engine oil temp reading. My understanding is 4 repairs for the same item in the first year qualifies it for the lemon law

I don't think you need to apologize. You didn't ask for any info on lemon lawing so we don't need to know the problem. All you wanted to know was the date for the 09s.

Richhrub Ford is working on a repair for those trucks with the false P0196 code turning on the check engine light. From what I have seen it only happens to people who extended idle there trucks when cold or get in the truck when cold and drive down a long pass when cold not allowing the truck to warm up very quickly. For emissions reasons the trucks need to warm up as quickly as possible. I haven't seen a repair yet but I have been keeping an eye out for some of my customers with this problem. I haven't seen one come on since Feburary though with that problem. I also think you have to have the problem 3 times and the dealer has to attempt to repair it. As far as Fords message goes you are not to attempt repair until further notice and that was as of 12-13-07. So I don't think that would quallify for Lemon Law. We have just been clearing the codes for the customer so they don't have to look at it.

I put in an order this week for an '08 F 550 and my dealer said there's about 15 days left before the factory will no longer take orders for MY 08. After that, you'll be getting MY 09. Just my .02¢
