Horrible Engine surge
For those that have a DP Flip chip, what I am about to describe will make perfect sense...
My truck has a surge, and it feels like flipping from stock to 80hp on a DP chip, and then back again. Seems to come and go, nothing specific triggers it, sometimes happens from idle, sometimes at 55 mph, sometimes when I hit a bump (Does seem to be more common on a rough road)....
Happens in Stock, 40, 80 and 120. I can not figure out what is going on and it is really annoying. At first I thought it might be a TPS, but the surge is an increase or decrease in power that is just as quick as turning the chip. Not a slow increase like stomping on the throttle. I replaced the CPS, but no change.
Any help? Wires to look at? anyone else have this problem? Again, it is like putting your foot on the floor in stock, and then turning to 80hp without lifting your foot off the pedal.

I would say to contact DP tuner and tell them what issues you are having. They would be the best people to talk too.
You might just want to pull the chip too and see if it does it without it in??

Check the connections on the switch sounds like it is doing what you are describing, going from stock to what ever tune you are in.
What does it do if you are running in the stock setting?
