ok guys went for a drive yesterday, about 120 miles on the highway, and when I parked the truck my drivers side tire was a little wet and so was my front axle, it was actualy driping? so I dont rember running through any puddles and my coolant was a little low....now the truck didnt puke from the degauss bottle, and I cant find any leaky or cracked hoses??? my lower right hand portion of the oil pan and the tranny pan have a dry white chalky residue on them... I drove the truck home the 120 miles with no issues truck never over heated and it didn't consume or expell any fluid on the way home? I drove it around town for an hour this afternoon and checked it over real good, and cant get it to puke or leak even at wide open throttle, and no I dont hand have never ran a tuner only mods are in sig.
Mine did the same thing last friday with an economy tune though, axle, leaf spring, and wheel well were literally dripping and didn't notice much of a drop at all in coolant level in the bottle. Throw in xtreme street and won't do it again....oh well I don't care studs go in in 3 1/2 weeks I was with my friend/certified 6.0 tech and he said nothing about it. just "oh well fluke thing". same guy that's putting my studs on.
check the top of the motor under the turbo and see if that is were it is coming from sould like could possibly be running down from the egr cooler. If not there follow the line to the oil cooler then all is left is leaking out the heads. ps any were you see white chalky stuff is dry coolant.

thanks for this post, rep points given. i looked under my hood the other day and saw about 25 chalky rain drop looking things on my coolant reservoir, intercooler tubes, and air filter box and thought they were dry coolant droplets but tried to convince myself in my head it wasn't. i had my heads replaced w/ new heads, racing/pulling gaskets, and had them anchored with ARP studs after my HG's blew. i think this is a pretty strong set up, all work was done by a high performance diesel shop, but don't like seeing any coolant drops on my engine. do i have issues? or is it most likely just bursting out the cap?? BTW i also had to get a new coolant reservoir because the original one had stress marks and started to crack, didn't leak though, but im not sure if they replaced the cap. the droplets are mostly all clustered near the coolant reservoir and coolant cap. i don't abuse my truck at all and usually run a custom Econ file or Hybrid Race.
