Since you're asking about performance chips, I'm going to assume you've got a diesel, and since your profile says your truck is a 2006, I'll assume it's a 6.0L. (moved to 6.0L section.)
Keep in mind that with performance chips/programmers/etc., while they can help mileage slightly, it becomes exceedingly difficult to keep from mashing the pedal all the time. In other words, you'll want to use the power because it's fun!, and thus mileage may suffer a tad.
