Got my 60 ready to swap out with my 44 and I'm really interested in hydrolic assist steering. Does anyone know a good place to find out where to port my steering box and what kind of pump to run? Oh and it's a 94 F-150 (or atleast what's left of it)
Another place to go is to search for West Texas Offroad and their Redneck Ram. I believe they show where to port the box at. I have a 95, and I believe that is where I found my instructions at. They also have the ram, lines and brackets that are much cheaper than any others that I've seen.
i've done six boxes (different styles) and the next few links i give is all i used and have yet to have a problem.
rebulding the box, great pics and details on how to tear it down... 4x4.forensick.net: '88 bronco: steering box rebuild
the newer trucks had the crappy plastic PS pumps as well?
My 79 150 has the crappy pump and its a beeeeooooootch to turn. It whines all the time and doesnt seem to be very responsive. Tight the first 1/4 turn then suddenly gets easy. George has a saggy pump and its the shizznit!
