I am looking to clean out my innercooler as I believe there is a fair amount of oil in it. I did the CCV reroute so ther should be no more oil being suckd into the intake. Does anyone have instructions or pics on this procedure ?
Seriously, if you already crank case re routed, I wouldnt worry about it. Its a light film of oil. If you are really worried about it, try taking off the tubes and wiping out the inside with clean lint free rags and see what you find. Makesure the clamps are properly torqued down after and check them a few times....
Just my 2c but i've seen some real data on the efficiency of intercoolers.... I'm an engineer and one of my mates (also an engineer) used to design them. The efficiency drastically drops with even the slightest film of oil - i'd clean it out good. Don't just drain it - flush it out with something that'll remove all the oil....
