A mystery plug dangling????

Ok guys, beyond my other problems of my truck running like garbage today i discovered a loose plug dangling behind my front passenger wheel. it has two wires, that appear to be black but who knows. I havnt really gotten in there to see where it might come from or where it SHOULD go, maybe you guys can narrow my search??

We're sure going to need more information than the little you've provided. Year, etc.etc.

Thats for your step board running lights. I assume your truck did not come with them. Just zip tie it back into place.

I agree with Tim - if it's a round plug, then don't worry about it - find it's match on the other side and you'll see

no its higher up and reaches where running boards would be, sounds like that may be it, i checked the other side, no match. but the previous owner of this truck has just trashed this thing so who knows. It is a round plug though. I checked the plug around the wheel, is the abs a small maybe 1/2 diameter plug?
