Ok so which shocks

Which shocks are the best on the Ex? I keep reading great things about the Rancho RSX's and the Bilsteins also. I would love to know what you guys think is better. Also, I am doing the V&F spring swap so I know I need something other than replacements for the stock shocks. I have the Bilstein part #'s, anyone got the Rancho part #'s? Thanks guys, this place is great!!

Chad

"BAJI26

So you love your Bilsteins?

I'm really leaning towards the Ranchos.... The adjustable is what is making my decision but if someone that experienced both rides for awhilel and can honestly say that bilsteins are better than the Ranchos I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!"

Actually, the original poster never got the answer he was looking for. I am wondering the same thing.

Thanks for any input,
Chad

Thanks wbuffetjr1 for a great question, and thanks X_Hemi_Guy for the link. I too am getting ready to do the v and F code spring swap, and am in the same quandary about shocks. I was thinking "Ranchos", because so many on here seem to prefer them in this application, but an acquaintance of mine who has been doing high end lifts and suspension work for many years says "No! Definitely go with the Billsteins, nothing will beat them. On the other hand, I have a brother who has been into suspension work and slalom racing for many years and says nothing will beat KYB gas adjusts. Then I happen to be talking with one of my customers the other day who has been doing suspension lifts on both off road and street vehicles for 30 years and he also says KYB gas adjusts. Gawd, at this point I am trying not to flip a freekin coin, but that's where I'm at. I will follow this with interest. Thanks to all.http://images.ford-trucks.com/forums...nfused0082.gif

I have purchased the Ranchos and love them, I set the rear alittle stiffer than the fronts and I have no complaints. I would recommend them!

I have the Rancho 9000xl adjustable shocks and I love them! Soft ride when on bumpy roads and can turn the dial for harder ride while towing.......... YOu should have included the 9000xl's in the poll.............$249.00 for 4 of them is the special right now!!
