I'm getting ready to move to Conroe. Can anyone suggest some good places to buy furniture/appliances? Also, any warnings about the area I should know about?

Stay away from River Plantation, it floods there. Stay away from the southeast side of town (south of Texas 105 and east of Highway 75). It's bad and not a good place to live.

Anywhere close to the lake is good but getting pricey. Have you thought about Willis?
