programmer

What is a good programmer for the new 6.4?I have a bully dog that I had for my 6.0 is that a good one?Will a programmer delete the dpf for better mpg?

The big programmers for the 6.4 have been SCT, Spartan, and KEM. Currently SCT is the only one I know of that has released the DPF delete tune required to remove the DPF.

Removing the DPF will get result in better mileage, but it mostly depends on your driving habits and the terrain.

SouthTexasDiesel what is the difference in the street proformer and the extreme proformer on the sct livewire?Do they make one that has both like the bullydog?

The extreme just has the higher horsepower tune on it and it comes with the EGT probe. Other than that they're the same.

I have the new BullyDog PMT on my 2008 F250 and it has been flawless.No probes because it uses the Factory EGT monitor system.Just wire it to power and plug it to the OBD port. Good Luck

according to sct you have the ability to monitor 1 of three egt sensors that are cuurently in the exhaust already. the sensor that is the closest to the manifold is called #1 (go figure) but supposedly it reads in celsious.

basshunter what kind of fuel mpg are you getting with your bullydog?What are the hp settings,also does that avoid the warrenty?

Any tuner detected by Ford or the other manufacturers will void your engine and probably trans. warranty.

read the imprint on the muffler/resinator....FMC has covered their azzes everywhere you look on the 2008
