How hard would it be to get a set of the 05-07 harley davidson edition headlights to fit my '03? I found a set on ebay for sale for like $195. Is that a good price for them? Thanks.
It isnt that hard. You just need to cut some of the header panel away, or buy the 05 and up header panel. When I did mine I just searched and someone had pictures and everything. I would look for the thread, really helped me out.
yeah, they are Eagle Eyes, knock off brand on ebay i thought i was getting a good deal on OEM at the time. But, you can't tell a DAMN difference between them and the OEM ones. They are just as high quality and performance.
So I'm in about the same spot as you, except I already ordered my lights (chrome ones). I know the seller you're talking about with the %195 harleys. I emailed the guy and they're not OEM. My chrome ones showed up though and they're quality units.
My plan is this. Instead of spending $70 + shipping on the harness from Dfuser. I'm getting a 6000k or 8000k hid kit from xenonlink.com for $135.99. I'm also going to get female 9008 connectors and splice them into where my old connectors were. You can get away with this because the stock 9007 bulbs draw 55 watts and the HIDs only draw 35 watts. Therefore, no heavey duty harness is required.
I figure shipping will be about $10 from dfuser. Therefore, the HID upgrade is only costing $56. That's the same as a pair of Silver stars!
Correct me if my logic is wrong on the above idea.
not to hijack the thread but if anyone is near nashville tn i saw a set of 05-07 oem headlights on craigslist for 165, you could prolly get them for 150 or less
