Could be a number of things. How mechanical are you? the first things (in order) I would try:
1. Pull and clean your egr valve - while you are at it, clean the intake manifold, EBP tube, MAP sensor hose.
2. pull and clean turbo if #1 doesn't help.

Keep us informed.

now if it's only in cold weather it could be your fuel gelling. you can buy fuel treatment at walmart or truckstops etc...

thanks

Yes I am mechanicaly inclied and I will check those items as far as the geling of the fuel it happens in 80 degree weather was born on a farm so know about fuels Im thinking it is the egr vale because the turbo spools up it just wont roll out untill its warmed up then I have to be good or it looks for traction and will run like a scared rabbit

I just read that a diesel tech on another forum diagnosed your exact symptoms as injector problems. Have you checked for DTC's?

Does your truck have the "detune when cold" flash? Recall 05B35 was issued in 2006 and it detunes the engine until the engine comes up to operating temperature.

Might also see if you have the latest induction heating flash for sluggish cold injectors commonly called stiction. This has solved many cold start / run issues here.
