You make a great point and one that I believe in 100%. Back in the day, things weren't made on just another assembly line...people devoted their lives to learning a craft and their products reflected that devotion and attention to detail. I know our older Fords were still made on an assembly line, but there was more people involvement than there is today - and I think that even the top brass cared more about their products than they do today. Now it's just the bottom line and top dollar.

Our trucks do have souls and they feed off what we do with them and how we take care of them.

I'll follow, my name is Brent. I own a 79 F-150 Custom Explorer Package D. I spent more time and money on getting her mechanically sound, then anything else. I have canceled many times to go fly and see my girlfriend and hangout with my friends to work on my truck. I often scheduled my week around what I have to do for my truck/to my truck. For instances this week I have canceled all plans for the weekend (I am actually going to put in a 12 hour day) so I can redo the brakes, fix the vacuum, new coils, put the studded tires on it and primer it and some other misc fun. I love this truck I think sometimes more than anyone, it can make me mad and glad! I am also very much looking for a 78 - 79 F-250 Crew Cab 4x4 (79 350 CC 4x4) short or long bed havent made up my mind, to make my mud rig and toy hauler and plan on spending a lot of unhealthy money on it. I also am redoing my garage to handle an off frame restro of my current 79. I am seeking help, I have no life and I work to work on my truck. But really dont help me because I think life would be less complete without this truck!!!! and when gas was 4.30 I said screw you environmentalist my baby wont ever sit ever!

I'm addicted to my rigs and am currently seeking a 59 F250 4x4, 59 M250 4x4, 79 F350 SC 4x4, and am going to look at a 72 4x4 dually sitting on 2.5 ton rockwells within the next few weeks. Hi, I'm Charles and I have a problem. I spend insane amounts of time looking at forums and online catalogs for parts for my 78 sexy momma. I do this while I should be doing other things like studying or playing World of Warcraft (another addiction I have sought help for). I have tried to alleviate this truck addiction by way of acquiring a Wii. This has not helped one bit. I now have a perfectly good Wii with all the bells and whistles just sitting there collecting dust. I used to date girls who could care less about big Ford trucks but now that is a prerequisite (and in the big city of Dallas those girls are few). I have actually thought about how comfortable it would be to sleep on the backseat in my SC...

Ben, ahaha my dad tells my mom to lighten up about it, its good I am doing this and knowing what I am doing. I am dreading when I start back up in January for college because it's going to cut into my truck money ahaha. I actually am really low on money right now, and our jobs are slowing down (winter time sucks for my dad and I) that and I am investing a lot of it right now so it is all tied up DANGIT

My name is Brent and i am a man i can change if i have to i guess! lol i have a incurable disease called car crazy! i spend more time working and looking for parts then anything else! i could not imagine wasting money or time on a wii, that's truck money to me LOL and i would have a 100 acre lot filled with old cars in trucks if i only had the cash!, i spend all my money on my truck, heck i have not bought clothes for almost a year! and wear clothes from 6 years ago! this past year i only bought my self a new digital camera, that i bought to take pictures of my truck and its resto, and a nice Westinghouse 22 inch wide screen lcd monitor! the only reason for the monitor is to view the truck when i am not at my dads garage! lol and to view websites for parts and this website! lol, and i don't think we have problems, we are blessed to be the way we are! i see others who just waste money and time on video games and i pods!, then i see that my hard earned money is being invested into a classic truck! heck when that ps3 or wii is outdated they are out there money! my truck will never go out of style, and will give me fun for many years! to come! i think its not a problem more like money well spent, plus if i never got my truck i would have bought some modern car and would have blended in with the rest of soictey, i instead got a classic truck to redo and have spent time with my dad working on it, plus i have learned a lot of new things plus i get to meet cool guys like you on this site and local part guys! and make new friends! and when its done i will get the famous thumps up and that's a sweet ride and my uncle/grandpa/dad had one! and i will get to bring a car/truck to classic car shows! and actually have my own truck on display, while the rest of the people who are boring have there 97 yotas and modern boring soulless rides in the parking lot away from the true gems! we are blessed to own these rigs!
