Heater core water cutoff...
I installed a water cutoff to help make the a/c more efficient. My question is will this affect the coolant going to the rear of the block? You know....like the wrong ( short ) thermostat directing water in the wrong direction or something like that??

One good thing about doing your way is that silt won't get trapped in the hose before the valve and when opened would get possibly trapped in the heater core.
