new gauge, which one

Hi all

I now have egt, boost, and trans temp gauges, but I need one more to fill my 4 gauge a-pillar. but which one??

oil pressure
oil temp
coolant temp

which one and why?

if it's the coolant temp, can I still use the oem dummy gauge as well?

if it's oil temp or oil pressure, will it make a diff. if i'm using synthetic oil or regular oil?

thanks in advance..

in mid summer it'll hit 95-100

I pull a 17 ft boat 35' trailer

I should have mentioned that I have a large oil cooler installed now.

we also do, or have done a lot of long haul driving, between 700 and 2200 miles round trip. but we don't usually tow that far,

thanks for the reply

Fuel pressure is what got me started on the road to gauge ***** status... Next to Pyro and tranny temps its the next thing that can leave you stranded with no idea what is wrong...

I had the DP switch mount, but sent it back so I could run another gauge...LOL

so you think I should add a fuel pressure gauge?

why that over the others? just asking because fuel pressure didn't
occur to me.

thanks

Ron, you beat me to it, as usual, or do like Izzy plans. Put a fuel gauge or whatever you want and the old F5 chip gauge mount. TWICE THE FUN!!!

I'd vote for fuel pressure or a real oil pressure gauge.

I vote for fuel pressure & water temp (it gets a little hot where you're at and gauges can be addictive). You're already watching your tranny temp, engine is important too. I think I chose the most important 7, but Joe has covered everything and then some. He is right about being stranded because of FP and no indication what the problem is.
