6 leaker problems

6 leaker problems
ok, not my truck, its my moms, just goin by what she told me but heres what happend
driving along normal at like 50km/h then all of a sudden lost all power, couldn't move and pouring thick white smoke...she shut it off, started it up same thing....waited a bit, still pouring smoke at an idle...tried to move nothing...then it got its power back all of a sudden and took off like nothing happend. got back to the house dad took it for a spin, all was good, layed a big patch....any ideas?
its stock, just did hacked the muffler out a few weeks ago.....115,000 KMS on it.

Do a search and read for hours ................
Some say unplug it (do it w/ the engine off so it is unplugged in the closed position)
others say keep it clean and run it; and when it fails, replace it.
I personally would not unplug it permanently until I ran a tuner that eliminated it from all the control strategies - but that is just me. Many have done so w/ apparently no issues.
