Im running the WW/ATS combo,my boost is only 18 to 20 .lbs ( 20 if im lucky) and at wot in the 80 or 120 setting, my EGT's hits 1350 to 1400 very quickly. Is this normal...will the stock comp. wheel do better, if so how much on each? Sorry for the repost but not that many chimed in last time.
Sounds like you have a boost leak. Low boost & high EGTs quick often mean a leak. If you have the cash and the boots are several years old, buy some new ones. Until those arrive (if you choose to go that route) remove one boot at a time. Clean the rubber boot, inside & out, with Simple Green. Make sure it is 100% dry before you reinstall. Also, thoroughly clean the mating surface for the boot, and perhaps even scuff it up some with a Scotch-brite pad for better grip. Make sure everything is sparkly clean & completely dry, then put that connection back together. Repeat this for each connection. Don't forget the "spider" under the turbo. Take your time, be thorough, and you'll be glad. You may find you have a small tear (like I did) in one of your boots. Good luck!
I just had the turbo off doing the WW/ATS and uppipes. I looked at the boots (kinda cleaned them but not that good) and they looked ok. Can they be bad but still look good no cracks or splits or anything?
Ryan Bean told me that the WW flows the same amount of air as the stock compressor wheel. He said he had compressor maps to prove it.
You have a boost leak somewhere.
Hmmm...I thought the general thinks were that the WW did not move as much air, and also made less boost. Not trying to dispute you at all, just trying to figure out the issue.

My crack was on the inside, to a small-ish pinhold on the outside - i could have blown wide open at any time. So in short, yes, they can look good but be no good. If you dated more you'd know that... LOL!! J/K

I guess the WW moves the air differently, you'd have to call him to get the specifics.
If your sure your up-pipes aren't leaking, check your manifolds, where they bolt to the heads. If those aren't sooty then turn your attention to your intercooler tubes and boots.
you should get 25 psi, no problem. Egt's, my truck on 75 and 100 run up to 1200-1250 and 140 can get alot higher. I had it to 1400 before and let off. I didnt want to melt anything so dont know how far it actually goes.
I know for a fact my up-pipe donuts are leaking- have a buddy rev your engine on the highest setting you have 80,120,140 whatever- while you either look from underneath at your exhaust pipes or on top of the engine. You may see a bunch of smoke, may even get choked out LOL, but if you do, you know where your leak is. I never knew I had one till my buddy was standing next to my truck when I romped id in park and he told me I had smoke coming out of the wheel wells...
