This morning, I went out into my garage and opened my passenger door. No lights came on, and when I reached in and pressed the map lights, nothing came on either. Anti-Theft light was blinking away, but it appeared the rest of the truck was dead. Went back inside to get my keys, and when I came back out, it was the same thing. Opened the garage, put the key in and fired her up. As soon as she started, everything worked again. Shut her down, walked around to the passenger side, opened the door, and everything worked perfectly.
Sounds like maybe you have a bad door switch or maybe just left the door open slightly last time you closed it. These trucks are equipped with a power saver relay that cuts power to the accessories in the truck about 30 minutes after the truck has been shut off and the doors haven’t been used. This relay reactivates upon opening a door or using the key fob. So if you left a door open enough it wouldn’t have know you opened one and not reactivated. That’s my guess at what happened.
the new f150's have a battery saver feature that cuts the power to save the battery if you would leave the headlights on or not get a door shut all the way so the interior lights stay on. if I'm cleaning the inside of my truck with the doors open after awhile the interior lights will go out, then if you close the doors then reopen them, the lights will work again.
