Code P-1111
Our Pit bull, while trying to get a squirrel that was up in the frame, tore out , bit in half or shredded the wiring harnesses from front to back. The worst was the one to the transmission. I got everything spliced back and the tranny works now but I get a code reading on the Edge Programmer of P-1111-system-passed. The Programmer is set to stock. Does anyone know what it means and is there a place that explains the Ford codes. I have a '97 F-350, PSD, E-4OD. Thanks for any help.

P1111 is good. Everything is OK. BTW: Did the dog get the squirrel?

I thank you both for the good news but it's scary to see all the codes that show how many things that can go wrong.
No the dog didn't get the squirrel. He bit the line to the block heater in some 8" lengths. He pulled the connectors apart breaking the locking tabs, destroyed the two harnesses up front, the one for the rear lights, trailer coupler and ABS were also on the ground. The metal bracket for the trailer plug was twisted. He's only 65# but the Pit type dogs are muscular. In case you're wondering, yes the dog is still alive.

You need to get some "Flash Cards" with photos of different trucks and other small animals. Hold a little class so that untrained killer will learn what is acceptable food and what is strictly off limits. lol

So am i understanding correctly that ford put in an "all clear" check engine code? isnt that an oxymoron???

If you clear the code will it come back? not even sure the point of having it in the first place. if every things ok, why throw any code at all? if every things ok why would one even scan for a code in the first place? does the PCM store every P1111 code it throws?
