Will these fit?

I've got some Cragar rims on their way via UPS. They measure 16"x8". A friend of mine has some nearly new Goodyear Wrangler ST that are 235 75 R16 that he'd give to me. Will they fit an 8" width? The rims are going on my 1968 F250.

they will fit, but thats really too wide of a wheel.
a 7" would be ideal.

thats gonna pull the sidewall out quite aways.

Thanks, the original wheels seem to be at least 8". I've got the old split rims on there now.

splits? likely 6.5-7.
and 8" is pretty wide.

I think you're right. I'm not measuring them right. Tire size is a mystery to me. Thanks for answering my question.
