Dick, You and your wife have been added to my prayer list. I know how horrible the "C" word is, as apparently you do. You mentioned that this is her second round, so you at least know that it IS beatable. (You guys beat it the first time.)
Anywho, I have been a Born Again radical Christian (I know this has different connotations for different people) for more than 30 years, and my point is that God is very much alive and concerned about each of us as individuals. The night before my wife died, God spoke to me in the hospital room. He asked me one simple question and it still impacts me everyday. I am a widower with seven kids so life comes at you fast... God asked me "DO YOU TRUST ME?" I have to tell you that it all comes down to this... I can tell you that I trust Him with EVERY inch of my being. He IS trustworthy. When you face life and death issues (and we are ALL dying right this minute.. life is fatal.) it is comforting to know that God is real, and He already demonstrated His love for us 2000 years ago. He proved beyond any doubt how much He loves us on a cross.
You ARE in my prayers AND in God's thoughts.

So sorry to hear this Dick and Darlene, our best wishes and prayers to you both. Nancy, my wife, has beaten 2 heart attacks and lung cancer for two years now, we hope you have the same good luck and health care.

Youre in our prayers Dick. I agree with ssj7kids GOD IS REAL!! Trust HIM! My mother in law had cancer and beat it. They (doctors) told her that attitude was 90 percent of the healing process. The BIBLE says that laughter does a heart good like a medicine. So dont loose your sense of humor that we've all come to know and love about you.

I just returned from our kick-off meeting of Relay for Life.. It was a inspirational evening and as you may be aware, the ACS has been doing this for a very long time. The highlight of the evening was when all the cancer survivors in the room were asked to stand. Darleen, you are a survivor!
Our work for Relay is to try and stop this disease, one lap at a time. Hang in there and in Sept, when our Relay event takes place, I will do some laps for you

Dear Dick, I hate news like this, however it's reality and this is more common than we realize. Of course you and your family are in our prayers. I'm not an expert in the subject but my wife is a Nationally Certified Colon Hydrotherapist who deals with colons and cleansing the colon for over 15 years. I don't know how far along your wife is or stages of cancer she's in, but I know Colon Hydrotherapy is very effective and also a preventitive for cancer of the colon. Without getting descriptive here, it basically flushes all the toxins which are built up in your colon out, including parasites, etc. I'm sure my wife would be more than happy to give your wife suggestion or offer advice if she can since she deals with this stuff daily. Let me know if I can help in anyway.
