Bypass hose

Ok, got engine bolted into truck finally (don't you hate it when your job interferes with your truck) and I'm connecting all the stuff to the engine again. Which port on the water pump does the thermostat bypass hose connect to? I think it goes to the lower-passenger side port right? Engine is 351W with v-belt accessories & water pump.

Bypass hose

I just looked under the hood of my truck.

Yes, you are correct. The lower nipple is for the bypass hose and the upper one is for the heater.
