My Dad has a 99 F-150 and I noticed last year that his passenger's fog light was starting to turn brown. I didn't really worry about it (mostly because it isn't my truck). But, now I notice my truck is starting to do it now so I figure I might as well fix them both.
I looked at mine and it seems light there is a little bit of water in the bottom. So, if I take it off is there a way I can take it apart and clean it out? If so, how should I put it back together? Use some type of silicone?
Or, does anyone have any other suggestions? Just a reminder it is the passenger's side on BOTH trucks.
I don't know if you'd be able to get them apart without breaking them. I'd try cleaning them through the bulb hole 1st. Maybe a small sponge and a stiff wire to move it around with .........
I have the same problem but have not figured out how to fix it i think what it is is that water has gotton in the lamp some how and is growing algae in there weird i know. But i was just going to see about takeing the lense out and putting a new one in. looks like a major chore to do this though
