It could be worse....you could be Dave's wife.

Shoot at 10:30 this morning I had her stylin' with the bridge club girls down main street in a 36 Cabriolet Convertable, and by the time he responded, she was working in a sweat shop wearhouse sewing seat covers for his truck!

Have a beer or two and call us in the morning.

I know the feeling. I chased the cooling problem all last summer and nothing seemed to work. A few times I thought I had it figured out but the dash gauge would go back to reading "HOT". Finally realized last week it was the gauge that was bad.

Part of the problem was last season I had a heavy work load and could only work on the truck a couple of hours a week. I had just enough time to do one thing and then wait a 3-4-5 days to test for results. I felt like blowing the dang thing up too.

Step back a day, let the beast sit and come back with a clear head. You'll see it's something stupid you know you'd should have checked first but didn't, hopefully.

That was funny stuff there Dan...

OK, I deserved that for whining I guess... But you don't know the best part, the place I plan on setting her up in has no windows. I don't want her to be distracted. I'm sure she would appreciate you taking her side though. I can just hear it now, "See, I told you so..." However, if you know of some magic way to get her stylin' with the bridge club girls down main street in a 36 Cabriolet Convertable, let me in on the secret. I catch h-e double hockeysticks every time I try to open the moon roof on the F-350 when she is along. At least the old girl is even tempered, (mean all the time). Hey, right now I can say what I want. She's out cruising in her '06 Taurus with all the things on it she finds near and dear to her automotive heart. Just don't get caught opening a window...

Hey, a man can dream can't he???

Funny Stuff!

My brother has a similar situation....he plays racquetball 7 nights a week. When he's home, his wife just lays into him for hours about why he has to play racquetball so much......Yep, I love my truck!

Hey Dan,
It's all in good fun here... Even my wife and I have our moments. To be honest, it's not all that bad. There are just things that we will always be at odds on. Most of the time I am here or hanging with the neighbor guys. One is a machinist, another a K9 cop and the last a retired guy that is one heck of an artist. It's not likely I'll get into too much trouble with that bunch. It's not like I'm out drinking, driving and raising cane. I don't even smoke. My very limited alcohol intake amounts to a few drinks a year. I'm not a crusader or anything, I just don't care about that stuff. My only passion and fault is electronic, electrical and mechanical stuff. Take away my shop, tools, machinery and equipment, and you might as well trade it all in on a nice casket and a plot. I'm living my second childhood and loving it. It's not that I missed the first one, if anything I enjoyed it too much. The recently acquired 53 F-100 is just another extension of my passion. This forum has really been great because I love associating with inventive people of similar interests. So far as I'm concerned, even the ugly truck guys have something to contribute.
