Hi all
We're looking at a 94 F150 4wd long box extended cab 351W with e4od(I think
trans code E) we're in upstate NY the trucks from the bottom of PA some where
so very little rust runs good has a bad brake line that will be repaired when sold.We did test drive it s bit for 10 mins or so, it seems to shift smooth but the owner used it to tow there's a brake brake controller and a factory tow package. At 150,000 miles what kind of life has the truck(or tranny) got left?
they want $3900 I told the boss(the trucks going to be used on the farm) to start at $3300 and deal.
Any tips things to check etc?
I just sold my 95 F150 4.9L so I know that years chassis.
Thats nuts I can get solid truck In lower pa right now for that with 10000 miles. But if its nice solid body go for it. Since it has been worked /hauling .The 351 although good to 20000 plus miles . Could be tired if hauled a large camper all time. Who knows?
As for tranny. It has probably been redone. Local shops say 100000 -130000 is the norm for rebuilds
Good luck I got same truck last year with rust free original paint and bad motor for $1200
