Question Is an E4OD........

The only transmission that would have been behind a 95 5.8L Bronco?

Thanks
Bill

The E4OD came behind the 5.8L in 1996, in conjunction with the OBD-II Electronic Engine Control. Another transmission, possibly a C6 auto, or an M5-OD, (Mazda 5 spd), can replace it. If going with the manual, you'll need to find a computer that matches it out of a Bronco/F150. The E4OD is monitored by the OBD-II as well. A manual wil require all the shift linkage and bracketry to make it work, along with the computer. If you go with a C6, you'll need to get an E4OD eliminator from the likes of Baumann Engineering. Or, get the manual computer, and use it with the C6.

the E4OD was the only auto offered in the fullsize bronco from 90 to 96 behind a 5.8. there was no manual option either.
