Rear end gear ratio:

I'm trying to figure out the gear ratio on my 06 350 SRW. I tried the manner described in the tech folder, but there were no numbers or letters vaguely close to what was there. Can't find any tags on the rear axle either. Any help?

I was under my '05 today and noticed there was a label on the front axle with the gear ratio on it. If your's is four wheel drive, check there.....

The codes in the tech folder are not correct for the later model trucks. Well, at least some of them are not included. Check the body label on the drivers door frame for the axle code. Someone here can tell you what it is. For example, mine is 3L and is 3:73 limited slip. Chances are fair that yours is also 3L.

Only a 3.73 was available in the SRW Diesels, either 4x4 or 2x4. Limited slip was optional, however...

YES !!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to diesel dan and BPounds--the code is 3L under Axle, and it is a 4X4.

Great to get help so quickly.
