I need to know what year and possibly what it came out of. casting number is E0AE D3C it was pulled out of an 84 mustang that was moderately modified so I don't trust it to be the original engine. Thanks, Rich.
Well, if I'm reading my chart right from the address (www.classicmustang.com/decoding_part_numbers.htm), the block was cast in 1980 for a Galaxy type application. They say that because it says "Galaxy" doesn't mean it is out of one though. That is what it was originally designed for.

Thank you for correcting me! I know all of my info is not correct, I just started gathering ID stuff in the last couple months, so any corrections to anything helps me!
It just hit me. My block is D4AE. When did they stop the Galaxy?
Thanks!

Hey guys thanks a ton I didn't think it was the original Mustang engine. According to the vin on the stang it should have had an HO motor. Oh well a running 302 with T5 tranny for $400 is nothing to bitch about. Thanks again, Rich
