I am looking for a set of tires for use on the county road. I have a set of 235/70/16 continental contitrac tires off of my grandmothers SUV but the county road is eating them up. I drive 60 miles round trip on this dirt road everyday to and from work.
Does anyone know of a good tire brand and model that will hold up to the rocks on the county road? Any help will be great.
My BF Goodrich all terrians have seen a lot of logging roads and they seem to be holding up really well. And honestly to me cant beat the price, I can get mine 315-75-16 for around 210$ apiece.
michelin LTX/MS is the absolute best truck tire ive ever owned. great off road, and smooth on the road....the bfg all terrain is a good one too, but its like the next step twords a more off road tire. but that may be what you want....
if I can break the tires free on pavement w/o trying there's something wrong...just about any other tire I've owned has been better than the bfg a/t's...but then I'm very demanding of my tires...
ive had the at's on a few trucks and there not that bad,
i do construction so they see mud,sand,snow,etc...
they wear good and i have had them break free in the rain but only pullin a trailer
but i would not suggest them if your gonna go "wheelin" on weekends
My daily drive to work could almost be described as "wheeling" sometimes. Especially when it comes close to needing repaired. When that happens the dirt road is so full of potholes there is no way to avoid them.
