Anybody got Doves?

For the last 3 weeks, I've been hearing Doves near my apartment. Well since I work nights, I put a piece of 1/4" Plywood in the window to darken the room. Like I said, started to hear Doves, Well went to clean the bedroom window, and found this!

We have had them for years. They will raise two, maybe three hatches a year.
Lots of fun to watch them.

Come September, those things will be in season.

Some of the most fun I had as a kid was dove hunting around eastern Oregon with my old man.

We are getting an abundance of Eurasian collared doves here. The boogers seem to mostly come in my yard when I sow grass seed.

I guess those things are spreading out like crazy. During season, you can take 25 per day.

I've got Mourning Doves and Quail nesting in trees and junipers in my yard and my neighbors yards.

I love the Mourning Dove's call. Always reminds me of mornings as a kid at my Grandfathers ranch.

BTW, anybody else crack up at Quail when they run? Especially in a flock...
