Do you need F-2, F-3 fenders? On the 'Bay

There's a very decent set, all four, F-2, F-3 fenders on eBay going off tomorrow. The guy has a "Buy It Now!" of $650.00. They're in NY, the ad states "local pick up" but that might be negotionable. He doesn't show the bottom halves of the front fenders and states they will fit a F-1. Although the fronts will bolt up to a F-1 the wheel openings are wider and the back fender will not work at all on a F-1.

eBay Motors: 1948 Ford F-2 Truck Fenders--Complete Set of 4 (item 280220357327 end time Apr-29-08 07:46:17 PDT)

I don't know anything about the seller but they look like really decent parts at a good price. If I they weren't so far from me I'd buy them now for the $650 price.

I paid $750 for just the upper fronts (F1) about a year ago. These look pretty good back by the running boards and atop the lower fender mounting surface where they always rust through. If you can go get them, this looks pretty good...If not, ask about shipping on greyhound!

I have been watching those for a couple days, too bad they aren't the nicer 51-52 bodystyle ones The rears appear to be in really decent shape.

F-3 Fenders

I have a set of 1948 F-3 fenders that are in fair shape. I would take less than the price on E-bay. They are rusted at the usual spot where the running boards attach but could be easily repaired. Anyone interested I am in Columbia,SC. PM me if you are interested. Thanks.

Jon, did you happen to see this?:

eBay Motors: FORD TRUCK 1951 COMPLETE FRONT CLIP AND MORE NICE TOO (item 320243485961 end time Apr-29-08 17:43:45 PDT)

He had a BIN of $299.99, well worth IMO. The winner waited and ended up paying $301.99. I wonder these dopes would not take advantage of the BIN. I wouldn't have chanced someone outbidding me. I would grabbed them for the BIN. Oh well, another form of eBay goofyness.
