The TRW ball joints I bought didn't have a grease fitting . Some people prefer the permanent lubing. I had a mix of types on my truck. The new ball joint will be tight. Don't expect to turn it by hand. It will be right once on the truck.
Most newer vehicles on the market are coming out with non-greasable ball joints, and drag links. There is a very mixed response to this but its not surpising that new parts for older vehicles are taking the same path.
Not being able to move it sound normal. Keep a close eye on it if you wish and you have a warranty for the new part correct?
its rained for two days straight. I put the ball joints back on the spindle, but still waiting to put it all back togethre again.
i wasn't happy that I can't grease the thing. also the rubber part came off when I was pressing it into the spindle. I ended up prying the rubber off the old one and replacing it with that it holds a lot better. then I packed it full of grease with a needle that I bought to grease front wheel drive cars.
