My vote = MC, had the same thing happen years ago, replaced it, and problem went away..it's a simple system, not too much to diagnose, it's 1 of 2 things gone bad!
My MC is under the hood, not inside cabine, becouse I converted my aero to manual tranny using brake pedal unit and may be that's why I can see no leaks. Well, just bled cluth. All work fine. I gonna replace MC is problen will go back.

If MC is bad .....what happens when you depress clutch pedal for ,say 30 seconds, & then try to put into gear? if so piston seals/bore are leaking.
I had this problem on my Peugeot 504 diesel, the culprit was the slave cylinder sucking air: the aluminium piston was rusted by the winter salt; and strangely they were no leak.
