electrical problems

iI'm having a weird problem with my ac in my F250. When I accelerate the ac stops blowing out of the vents and blows up the windsheild as if the defroster is on , then when i slow down it goes back the vents. What the hell is that? Is it a relay or something mor involved? any help would be great.

I'm not 100% sure on this one, but there is a possibility that the blower motor isn't running. Maybe when you slow down it's takeing the path of least of least of least resistance. This will bump you back to the top and some one else will chime in.

Oh and by the way WELCOME TO FTE!!!!!!

A vacuum is what controls the HVAC controls. I'm not sure what accelerating would have to do with it, but it sounds as if you have a leak in the vacuum lines. If you have a 4x4, the hubs and lines going to the hubs are a good place to check. A simple check of this system would be to unplug the vacuum lines at the soleniod and plug. Go for a drive and see if that fixes the problem.

You must have a gas engine because a diesel has a vacuum pump that is running whenever the key is on. With a gas engine, vacuum drops with acceleration and
increases with deceleration and at idle. You may have a bad vacuum reservoir-- a
small canister used to prevent just your problem. Hope I'm not lying about all this.
