It died?
Wife said she was driving the Excursion (V-10) and came to a stoplight and realized that it had died apparently as she was slowing to a stop. After she realized that she had to put it in park, it started right back up.
She said that the CEL was on before she cranked it up. The CEL did not stay on after it started back up.
She drove into town, picked up a BD cake, came home. No more troubles. Is this a well known issue?
I've heard of the 7.3psd and bad CPS. But, this is a V-10.
Any ideas?

The CEL should be on when the key is on, and the engine is not running. Normal.
Check for codes, but I suspect you won't find any.
