Lifter change 302

To change the lifters on my 302 in my 78 f250 4x4, can I do it without removing the intake? Maybe just remove valve covers and pushrods? The driverside front lifter is annoying me!!!THANKS!!!

The intake must be removed to change lifters, no way around it.
It is not recommended to install new lifters on a used cam, or a new cam with used lifters, with roller lifters and cams being the one exception. When removing an old cam and lifters that you plan to reuse, it is advisable to keep them numbered so that each lifter can be put back on it's original lobe.

Did you try anything off the store shelf like Rislone or auto trans fluid. Sometimes these high detergent oils will break loose a stuck lifter. I have put new lifters on a used cam, but I wouldn't risk putting old lifters on a new cam.

The motor only has about 20,000....just crappy lifters I guess.
Is the motor still too old to install new lifters? I really don't feel like changing the cam too, but it might just be the only way. I suppose I'll try the Rislone or ATF trick first. I can't believe my motor would have a stuck lifter after 20K miles!!! I have great oil pressure, and oil is always clean because I change it every 1,500-2,000 miles (sometimes less)!!!!I'm running Valvoline 10W-40 and a Motorcraft filter, I love valvoline, it's by far the cleanest and best of oils. ANY MORE SUGGESTIONS ON UN-STICKING THIS LIFTER???THANKS...

Maybe the rockerarm was never tightined up good enough,if it was try Marvel Mystery Oil for it then.Run engine with valve covers off and find which one is noisy and tighten it up a little, just get a ton of rags....Or some people have a spare valve cover top cut out for this reason....GOD BLESS
