I can't figure it out or find a darn thing to explain it. I have a pin lodged in the RCA plug and I gotta get it out. I tried to superglue and vacuum and heat/cold idea. I gotta pull down the thing. It's pissing the crap out of me though. I removed the four bolts in the corners of it and it still won't come down. I shined a light into the right and left center holes and looked up in there, and i'm sure it's whatever is in there that's keeping this from working.
I've wasted two days trying to get it down. Surely someone knows something
If you want to drop the dvd player down, flip the screen down and there are 4 hole close to the corners. Remove the screws in the holes and it should come down. See the pics links that are from an ebay auction below for what I am talking about. I hope this helps.

I took the four out and the thing wont budge...it's stuck solid up there. THat's been the problem the whole time is even with all four removed it rocks in the middle like it's on a beam.
EDIT: And thx very much for replying, you're the first to do so even when i posted this 4 months ago.
Give it a quick yank, There are the snap retainers that need a quick solid yank to pop loose. They are pretty strong, but it should release without breaking it.
We got it yesterday. The guys at Precision Audio were kind enough to help out. Turns out you were right, just needed a yank. But it took 3 guys and a count to 3 to get enough to yank it off. It was sick... But it's off now, disassembled, and i'm starting to repair the busted jack. Thanks for your help man .
No problem. I'm glad you got it. Its seams simple, but sometimes, simple things simply won't cooperate. I was thinking about it, they make a curved trim tool that would slide btween the headliner and the player and would get a little leverage on it. Hopefully you won't have to drop it again, but if you do, its something to think about. Anyways, glad to see you got it down. Later
Well just as an update, after I dissassembled 50 parts, I got the jack shipped off to a buddy who can do PCB repair, he repaired it, and shipped it back. Put the mess of parts back together and have been enjoying it a little over 1.5 weeks. So happies :P.
How did you remove the wiring harness off the unit ?
I'm going through everything you went thro lol you wasn't joking about it takin alot of force to pull it from the roof.but now I can't get the wiring hardness off for the God of me
Thanks alot for any help
