Inner Tierod Ends

1997 Ford F150 4x4, 4.6L...
I was told today when I went to have regular mant. done on my truck that it appered that the front inner tierods where going back on both sides.. I mud ride/hill climb/ off road alot. So I want to get something to hold up for a good while. Any suggestions on what brand/type of parts to go with.. Any how much of a job would this be to do myself. Or should I just let the shop do it for 50 bucks.

I would stick with Moog brand parts, they are greaseable and will last quite a long time if cared for. You should be able to do your ends in your driveway. Just plan on getting an alignment afterward.

if you do them yourself or have an independent, get Moog.
if the shop is doing it for $50 (you sure???) go for it.
i just blew one off the center link while going down the road!

Moog

Moog on the front of my 79, and the 01. Like the other reply, you can grease the Moog parts. I really grease them upp well after playing in mud and water. Push's out, what got in.

So 50/labor, 50/alignment, 50/parts (at cost) -- 150 not bad.
