F100 engine build?
It is time to redo the engine in my 82 F100 Ranger XLT Lariet. I have a few options. They include an 87 F150 302 EFI, 89 Crown Vic EFI 5.0, CFI from an 85 Crown Vic 5.0, or keeping the 2bbl. Main problem now is low/no oil pressure when hot and its never had any power.
I don't want to make it as hot rod but, a few more ponies would be ok with me.
Suggestions? Must stay legal - emissions test annually.

The best way to go in my opinion is the 87 fuel injection from the truck, IF you could get the whole truck. That way you could get all the wiring, fuel tank and high pressure pump and fuel lines, and all the little stuff needed to make it happen. Only other option I see is rebuild the original, or buy one of the other engines and put the carb and emissions stuff on it. Too much rigging I think, to get the car efi systems to work.
