I could care less how long and engine runs with no oil. I use oil in my engines! We don't judge wheel bearing sby how far you can run them with no grease, why does it matter for an engine!

I agree, Ford did get it right because if i had been driven anything else, it would have seized into one solid block of metal. I'm sold on the powerstroke and you guys ability to diagnose a problem.

Good one. If it isnn't designed to run with no oil who cares how far it will go without any.

Regarding the dripping oil drain plug: mine dripped no matter how I torqued the plug and no matter if I used new (copper) washers until I got a couple of (blue) plastic washers from AutoZone. Problem solved. Not a drop since.
