F150 Engine Problems

This is my third F150 and I have never experienced anything like what this truck is doing. It is a 1993 F150, 302, Automatic. Anyways, when the truck is cold and not warmed up, if you give it any amount of gas over about an 1/8 of throttle it will take off and then in a few seconds just flat out stall, it will not start running again until you let off of the gas. Other symptoms are it is having a hard time idleing, it will idle fine and for no reason it will just die(it does that mostly when cold but will also do it when warmed up too). The computer, tps, distributor cap, and rotor have been replaced.
I have no idea what is wrong with it but it is a pain in the neck. Thanks, Robert

fuel pressure is fine, atleast when on idle it is around35-40 pounds, the book says 30-50.
That is what I thought maybe it needs a fuel filter change or a new fuel pump, but if it did, wouldn't it run like that all the time?? It is only doing it when it is cold.

Idle speed is controlled by the idle bypass valve on the side of the TB, have you cleaned this lately?

Try using a can of Sea Foam in your gas.

Robert! this is the hard part. You need to find out if its fuel or ignition when it quits. When its cold did you try and see if you could hear the fuel pump come on? If you have the low/high pressure pumps disconnect the h/pump,behind the fuel filter. Then listen for low pressure pump sound in tanks. Or remove the hairpin clip fuel line run fuel into bucket. This could be electrical to.If you have good flow of fuel then take the dtc test connector and bypass to make the fuel pumps run.I did this with a switch on the dash. there is a fuel pump relay that you could change out in the same location of the dtc.

With a dvm you could check the tps do a sweep test disconnecting the sensor ohm check it during the sweep. look for it to drop out at idle to eight throttle
