I picked up a nice 2003 V10 Excursion 4X4 with 66,650 miles for $14,851.00. So far I am very happy with it! I was looking for a Diesel but could not find any local in my price range with lower miles. I visited this forum before I bought and thought you all would be very helpful if I ever have problems. I belong to the Caddyinfo.com forum and was spoiled by the very helpful people there. I also have a 96 F250 crew cab short bed 4x4 so the gas mileage did not scare me too much. I am looking forward to many happy miles with the X and giving and getting alot of helpful advice or incite from this forum. Thanks, in advance.
I purchased it in Richmond, Kentucky at Valentine Honda. I drove 3-1/2 hours from Ripley, WV. I thought it was a great deal. The dealer was really good to deal with.
Good thing I'm not selling...I hope you got a great deal and that is not a common price for these...I bought mine new and know I got a great deal, but still...only 14K of value and I only have a 2WD. I guess, lost over 50% after about 4.5 years...about as well as some stocks I have...this is more fun that stock ownership.
Congrats on the ex and the GREAT deal.. I was looking for the 7.3, but it was out of my range as well. I have been lurking here before buying and after and you are right - great support!

Congrats!!
KBB had it listed for $18,885 the dealer claimed it listed at $19,950. I had been looking in Autotrader and found this one to be the best price for the model year and mileage especially for a Limited. High gas prices make these less desirable also. I checked KBB on trade in and it was around $14,000. I learned a long time ago that buying new is not the best investment.
You need 25 posts to set up a gallery, send/receive PM's, etc...
Although I 'think' if you have a webshots or photobucket host site...you may be able to insert links to your page/pictures...not sure...
joe.
Yes I saw that option but I do not have any web shots yet. Joe, I see your from Indiana. I will be up there in September for James Dean Days. My wife has an Uncle near Fairmount. Probably will have the Excursion up there this year with the kids and In-laws. Last year we brought back a 97 Deville, who knows this year.

Paul,
I'm about 40 or 50 miles north of Fairmount...In Fort Wayne...
I've never been to the museum there...but hear great things about the Festival...let me know when you will be around...perhaps we can share a beer or two or three when you are in my state!
Not sure if you guys camp or are interested in a Excursion get together...but we are organizing one for July 25-28 in Gatlinburg...you DON'T have to have a camper to attend...nor do you need a Ex...but so far we have 13 or 14 Ex's that are decending on Gatlinburg...if you are interested...you could stay at a hotel, or chalet, or cabin...
My wife and I are helping to organinze...if you are interested...let me know I can give you some details...the more the merrier! (whispers...plus we need more V10's! LOL)
I saw the Gatlinburg post and it is tempting. I do have access to my in-laws 24' trailer. I have a 40' fifth wheel that I am now considering on selling and getting a travel trailer, but the fifth wheels pull so nice. We are considering a trip out to Yellowstone this year, that was one of the reasons we bought the Ex.
Last year we went to the Fort Wayne Zoo. My wifes Uncle is about a little more than a mile from I-95 Fairmount exit. Look for the old cars for sale in the yard and stop in if you get down to the Festival. I would skip the museum and just go to the Car Shows in Faimount and Gas City. They boast about 400-500 cars per show. We go mostly to look for parts and have fun.
