Angry More stalling, chime in....

Hey Folks, the short story is this. 96-150 I6 auto. No codes, new wires, plugs, cap, rotor, fuel filter, fuel pressure etc. checked at shop, all good. Truck idles fine, will sit for long time in D or R in driveway and idle fine. Drive truck for a while, after warmed up, stop at corner or light, it stalls. I'm kind of frustrated witnthe whole thing, if you've had anything like this please add your thoughts. THANKS! DAVE

Coil or ignition module may be breaking down due to heat (works harder under load) also check connectors. Good luck.

The usual scenario:

Ignition module overheats, engine dies, restarts almost immediately.

Next: Module overheats, engine dies, re-starts when module cools down-usually 1/2 to one hour.

Sooner or later, usually sooner, the module overheats, burns out...engine dies and will not restart.

F1PZ12A297A .. Ignition Module -mounted on distributor (Motorcraft DY679)

MSRP: $147.84 / ftepartsguy.com price: $79.84

btw: On some, not sure about this one...you need a thin shanked TORX driver to remove the module from the dizzy.
