Well, i started at 10 am in the morning and got done about 2:30 pm. It took me alittle longer because i had to go out and get the 12 point 5-16th quarter inch drive but all in all, not bad of a job. I took my time and i did it with the turbo on. I got to tell you, i wouldn't have attempted to do this without everybody,s help here on FTE. Anybody that,s thinking about doing this mod, get on here and ask questions, you can doooo it. The truck sounds great, the surge seems to be gone although i have'nt gotten on her yet. Thanks again everybody.
I watched JDecker and Cris Rampage do Jd's at Smokin" and it was pretty straight forward. It's a bit tough climbing up there on the engine but seems pretty straight forward.
Thats cool jim, i have the same problem from time to time. Not bad of a job at all. I,m very pleased with the results. The sore muscles are slowly appearing.

You bet, i got scratches and little cuts all over my arms, but what the hey. Reps are on me for everybody, here they come.
I need to do this mod....got the WW sitting in a box
want to do the Up-pipes while Im in there but might not take the turbo off since it sounds simple enough to do while still in the truck
Chris, i never pulled a turbo before, i had the turbo o-rings replaced under warranty. I check every once and a while for leaks in the valley and there was none, thats why i went with the turbo on. Very simple job, just took my time.

Damn I almost forgot gotta replace the o-rings too to see if thats where my leak is you made me remember that lol
ford replaced a seal on the HPOP twice and its still leaking so I guess its my turn now to see if I can fix it.
I'm anxious to see if the WW will solve the surge problem.
Keep us posted
Me too, i just went up the road to pick up a few things, i got on it alittle, sounded really good. but i'll let you all know tomorrow when i get on her WOT. .
