Well, it caught fire yesterday and I don't have many hairs left on my hands, but I couldn't give up on such a nice tool. It's a butane soldering iron (not one of those cheap ones, these are $100 tools.) I've been having trouble igniting it for a few years, and I haven't needed to do much soldering, so I let it slide until the fire incident.
I pulled it apart, and adjusted the burner in the ejector. No more wild fires consuming hand hairs, and it lights on the first click. After 10 years of abuse and neglect it's back to life. The paint has warn off the tank, so I polished most of it off.
