sorry guys but I got another question. The truck is a 65 100 cust cab. so it should have that pleated material around the handle and window crank and should also have armrests, correct? well th eoriginal owner didn't like that. pulled it out and put in this cheap looking particle board wood trim stuff. I want to put it back to original, which would be white. Does anyone know where I can get those parts? LMC truck has the armrests, but in black only. and also just an opinion question, the truck is currently orange, originally it was that canary yellow color. can't decide between going for a light blue or back to the original yellow (Both would be two tone with white). I like both a lot!!! which would you choose?
there is a guy in reidsville nc, "flashback f100's" by the name of Tom. i have dealt with him on a few things, seems to be a great source of parts and info too.
Bob Drake use to carry the Door Pockets with the zipper, not shown in catalog, may have to call them. They also have the door panels in wht, blk, and red. Not sure about the armrest. Purchased a red set from DC many yrs. ago not sure if they still carry them.
armrests are indeed included with Custom Cab pkg...look at my gallery...
They were OPTIONAL. Not automatically included with the CC package, though most trucks did come with them.
My CC truck did not come with arm rests, nor chrome bumpers! This is a common misconception.

Optional: Chrome bumper(s), and the side trim, neither came with the CC package. Since the parts were optional, you'll see Standard Cabs with these too.
CC package included: Left hand armrest, right sunvisor, upper (plastic) door trim panels with stainless reveal mouldings, stainless w/s mouldings, bright (aluminum anodized) grille and headlamp bezels (chromed steel), chrome horn ring, cigarette lighter, extra insulation, door/ignition locks keyed alike.
Most of the CC features could be ordered for Standard Cabs.
Dealers added accessories before the trucks were sold to bolster profits, they do the same things today.
These trucks are over 40 years old, so things get swapped around.
How many of y'all bought one new?
How many of y'all are old enough to even remember what these trucks looked like when they were new?
AFAIK, there's only ONE FTE member that bought a 1965 F100 brand new.
It's the same member who was a Ford partsman when these trucks were in the showrooms.
Purchased in March 1965 from Stockton Quincy Ford / 1550 Westwood Blvd. Westwood (suburb of LA, where UCLA is located), CA.
upper (plastic) door trim panels with stainless reveal moldings,
Man i would love to find these as they have to be as rare as no rust on a PA delivered truck. No truck 61 66 was ever spit out with three piece Stainless trim on the door panels.
Neither was the body side trim. All were produced in clear anodized aluminum, Along with the 2 mid dash pieces. even the headliner door trims are aluminum.
Only stainless steel trim was the CC outside windshield trim and clips. and the front dash pad curved hold down strip. Oh and lets not forget the 64 CC lower dash bezel in stainless.
As a life time owner and restorer Bill, you should at least know what the materials you used in the restoration of your truck were made from....

PS: Dwight the assembly line dudes must have been asleep the day your original CC left the factory without a arm rest, little hard to punch out and hide the holes for the through screws. They must have grabbed a non punched door and said later down the line F&&K it as there were no holes... You and i know its 100 percent unmolested so.......But ford would never do things like that...

I didn't say the exteriorside trim was stainless, quite the contrary.
Some ppl think it is...so I correct that misconception all the time (did it earlier today for the thread: need help with a banjo project = post #5). It's, as U know, anodized aluminum.
I just dug out my stash, two NOS cowl mldgs, one goes to Don (camperspecial65), the other to another member here.
Since the truck is 5 miles away in a storage garage, I may have goofed on the interior door panel trim...can't remember everything, but I thought it was stainless.
The last time I changed those mldgs was in 1983.
I'm too large (and arthritic) to fit behind the wheel anymore, so I don't drive the truck too much, but I'll never sell it.
My '64 Custom Cab had both armrests. Unfortunately, both were torn up and electic taped around them. I both a pair from ebay, y7rs ago for petty cheap. The armrest were used, but NOS quality. They were from a Falcon of the same age. Looks like the same pieces. Came with the screws and all. The seller even throwed in a new buttery bag of microwave popcorn.
